可是「W」不管怎麼看都像是兩個「V」，為什麼會唸作兩個「U」呢
英文字母，是採用拉丁字母系統而來，
不過原本的拉丁字母裡，並沒有字母「U」，
而是由字母「V」一個人當兩個人用，作子音唸成 ／w／，作母音唸成／u／。
也就是說，「V」跟「U」在古典拉丁字母裡，是同一個字母「V」；
或著說，「U 」是 「V」的變體，兩者是可以混用的。
